Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida
Welterweight bout: Matt Hughes vs B.J. Penn
Lightweight bout: George Sotiropoulos vs. Joe Lauzon
Light Heavyweight bout: Phil Davis vs. Tim Boetsch
Middleweight bout: Gerald Harris vs. Maiquel Falcão
For the Main Event, I am going with Rampage for the KO. I dont think Machida has enough power to knockout Rampage and I think Jackson knows this. He is going to come right after Machida, cut off the ring and certain angles and Boom….lights out for Machida…2nd round KO/TKO.
No dont get me wrong Machida could win this….but he wont win by submission and he certainly will NOT win by KO. Rampage has one of/if not the hardest chins in MMa. I think if Machida wins it will be by leg kicks, and quick in and out movement.
For BJ Penn and Matt Hughes, this is going to be an interesting fight. Both guys are extremely well rounded, I would say the only thing that has changed since the last time these two met is Hughes’s stand up capabilities. Hughes is looking crisper each time we see him. I can see Hughes winning this fight, I can see Penn winning this fight. I think Ill go with BJ just because he is backed into a corner and NEEDS the win.
Sotiropoulis vs Lauzon…..the hardest fight of the night to call. Both extremely well rounded, both very hungry for the win, both have looked phenomenal in their last fights. I think cardio will be a key factor in this fight, which Lauzon has the edge in. Im going with Lauzon by UD….but it wouldnt surprise me if George wins in this match.
Harris vs Falcao…..I really like Davis, at 17-2 how can you not like him…..but I think Maiquel Falcao is going to destroy him. For those that dont know the “Big Rig” he is one bad MF’er. At 25-3 with 21 Knockouts, with 20 of them in the first round its about time UFc finally picked this guy up. Maiquel Falcao 1st round KO.
Davis vs Boetsch. Id like to see Boetsch continue on his winning ways. He has a four fight win streak going for him….lets see if he can make it 5.
